Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) to Host Event on Thursday, April 14 at the Detroit Golf Club
DETROIT, MICH. (MARCH 14, 2016) – The Disabled Veterans National Foundation proudly announced today it will host a fundraising gala featuring war hero, author and inspirational speaker Sal Giunta, the first living Medal of Honor recipient since the Vietnam War. The event will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 5:30 until 10 p.m. at the Detroit Golf Club, 17911 Hamilton Road, Detroit, MI 48203. The event, sponsored by xxxxx, includes dinner and a Detroit-artist auction that will benefit the more than 5,000 homeless veterans throughout Michigan.
DVNF was founded in 2007 as a community-based, non-profit focused on helping former military members in need and raising awareness of veterans’ issues such as increasing suicide, unemployment and homelessness rates.
Tickets to the event are $250 and are available by calling (248) 633-6039 or online at comfortourvets.splashthat.com before April 1, 2016. In addition, donations of any size can be sent to: Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 3098 Quail Ridge Circle, Rochester Hills, MI 48309
“Comfort Our Vets is a great way to support our war heroes who continue to do battle even after they leave active duty,” said Michael Capraro, event sponsor (or could be from lead sponsor). “Hearing Sal Giunta’s courageous story, experiencing the live color guard and viewing patriotic creations from local artists will bolster your belief in the American spirit.”
