I am thankful for this program as it not only has helped our family but many other families during this economic crisis. I can’t express the gratitude of having groceries sent to our family home in the efforts of easing our financial burden. Very easy process.

I have been struggling to make ends meet as a Disabled Veteran, and due to a heart problem I am currently off work, with many bills pilling up and being unable to take care of some, the GPS program allowed me to be able to focus on my recovery and my family while I’m out of work for a couple of months. I am extremely thankful for the help!

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude! I am 100% P&T and didn’t know where else to turn. When my husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 throat cancer, it financially crippled us for over a years. I had to make some difficult financial decisions, and only had 2 weeks to bring my utility account current before it was scheduled to be disconnected. I tried so many resources, but was unable to get approved for help. DVNF was able to provide the assistance I needed before the deadline and I was able to avoid suffering through 100+ degree heat with no A/C.

The GPS program and team at the DVNF provided the solution to a dire circumstance that was out of my control and as a result, prevented so many more certain issues from occurring. I cannot thank them enough for the assistance they provided and professionalism that was showcased. I cannot speak highly enough of them.

Aloha friends! Thank you so, so much for your help!! What a relief for struggling veterans! I can’t thank the folks at DVNF enough for their quick and supportive response to my time of need. This foundation is amazing! I may be able to save my home from foreclosure. These funds are critical towards keeping me off of the streets and becoming homeless. I’m so grateful!

This program is a Godsend for deserving Veterans. I have lived in transitional housing for 7 months before this program changed my life and provided the ability to have a home.

This program has been amazing. The process was not difficult and the representatives were great. I needed this and they delivered. I’m beyond grateful. The H2H program enabled me to regain stability for myself and my ESA after being unhoused for over two years. The application process was easy to follow and everyone involved was happy to help.

Helped me in a very hard time. When I was behind after giving everything, I was in a situation that was damaging my mental health. This program showed that someone cared about my life and my son’s, inspiring hope and keeping me able to help others without suffering horrible repercussion for my kindness. Changing my life showing me how hope is still alive and well, showing us someone cares.

I was blessed to have found an affordable place to live with the help of my VA family and housing rep, but still lacked funds to obtain it. If it wasn’t for the H2H program I wouldn’t have been able to get the financial assistance I needed to get into an affordable safe place to live. My life has been turned upside down in less than 5 months by an enormous $700 a month increase in my rent, then notification my home of 13 years will be sold right away, and an early cancer diagnosis that will require surgery very soon. My savings are gone due to the rent increase. Rental housing prices skyrocketed in my area, I was unable to find housing to keep my job. I was about to lose my home, job, and my two dogs. I had no money left for the new place, and then H2H stepped in to help. I was at my wit’s end thinking about being homeless during this time of the year with my health conditions.

This program being a resource for me allowed me to continue to elevate in transition the next portion of my life, smoothly well also giving me time to make mistakes learn and grow from them, this program gives room to focus on other pursuits and not stress about financial obligations that may not be able to be feasible for a person at that time, I’m truly grateful!

I am grateful to the GPS program for providing me with a grant to help me restore my power after I was left homeless due to financial hardship and an unsupportive relationship. This assistance has given me the opportunity to create a stable and safe home for myself.

I think the Veterans Food Assistance Program is a lifeline for many veterans who face financial struggles. It shows that the community cares about those who served, providing not just food but also dignity and support when it’s needed most. It’s a great way to ensure veterans don’t have to worry about their basic needs while they focus on rebuilding and healing. The program’s generosity and commitment to veterans like myself gave me a sense of security and appreciation, making me feel valued and supported for my service.

The Veterans Food Assistance Program has been a true lifeline, giving me peace of mind and stability. The grocery support has allowed me to focus on health and other needs without the constant worry about food expenses. It’s a powerful reminder that I’m not alone, and there are people and organizations dedicated to supporting veterans like me. This assistance has greatly lifted my spirits and eased my financial challenges. I felt respected and supported throughout, which is deeply appreciated. It’s clear that the Disabled Veterans National Foundation cares about making this assistance easily available to those who need it.

At a time when life was questionable, VFAP was there to reduce the burden that I faced financially. They provided me and my family with an opportunity to rebound, without having our diets change in an unhealthy way. Although my children would never have to skip a meal, my Wife and I have certainly eaten less in the past, so that our children don’t have to. With a month’s worth of food for my family of 6, we are able to reset financially and take the steps to ensure we can sustain our diets. The food assistance that I received was a blessing beyond my expectations.

I have asked for help in the past and this was the first time that someone came through. I have gone to food banks but what you get is never enough for more than just a week. This is awesome, I can stretch these out for a month. It will help tremendously with saving to get my rent caught up.

Best program ever helping to feed us veterans, it’s kindly appreciated thank you all for your support. I’ve been struggling making ends meet living on credit cards to eat and battling cancer. This has been a joyful day to see all the different groceries from meat, fruits, canned foods, toilet paper, etc. Took less than 30 minutes to complete the application with help of Asia at DVNF. The approval took only a few days. I was so grateful.

The VFAP Program has made an impact on my life. Your generous and unwavering support has been a light in my life, giving me the strength and courage to keep going even when things get tough. This has been a dark time for me in life, however, with VFAP I can provide for my kids through this program. The detailed application allowed my family and I to receive support specific to our needs.

Absolutely amazing! I have been a volunteer since I was 10 years old and it’s very comforting to be able to get help now that I need it! When you’re 100% disabled, day to day living can be phenomenally stressful. When a program as generous as VFAP gives you support, one’s quality of life increases!

This program/grant put groceries in my kitchen, actual groceries I would eat. I felt heard which is huge for me because I haven’t felt that in a long time, to have vegan food show up to my front door meant so much to me. I was able to have full meals this weekend and I still have food to cook and enjoy which changes my life tremendously. It’s so great to have actual whole foods in my fridge. I appreciate it so much.

VFAP is amazing. This has helped me so much, so so much. It has been a long time since I’ve had my fridge full. Having decent meals and so much less worry about thinking about what I have to even fix. I so appreciate this. I’m still close to speechless. Gives me a feeling of looking forward to meals instead of dreading on what I don’t have.

Being through many medical obstacles including cancer, it’s important to eat healthy, not just whatever, like cheap fast food. Thank you for making this one thing I don’t have to stress about!

Through the support of the Disabled Veterans National Foundation’s H2H program, I was able to regain stability, security, and a fresh start. The program provided resources and guidance that made a significant difference in my journey, and I am incredibly grateful for the compassionate assistance I received. Thank you for giving me hope and a second chance.
