Transparency. Accountability. Real Impact.
At DVNF, we believe donors deserve to know exactly how their generosity fuels our mission. Every dollar given plays a direct role in delivering meaningful, life-improving services to veterans across the country.
Health & Comfort in Action
DVNF’s programs are united under one mission: to provide direct support that improves the health, well-being, and stability of veterans in need.
When you give to DVNF, you support:
- Veteran Food Assistance (VFAP) – Delivering nutritious groceries directly to the homes of veterans, easing financial strain and promoting better health.
- Comfort Kits & Grab n' Go Events – Distributing hygiene essentials, dental care items, and other relief supplies to veterans nationwide through community-based events and partnerships.
- Mission Possible: Mind. Body. Spirit. – A self-paced online course designed to help veterans build resilience, restore confidence, and reconnect with purpose, providing tools for long-term growth and recovery.
- Operation Mission Possible (OMP) Podcast – A platform where veterans speak directly about their experiences, and where organizations serving veterans come together. Through this initiative, DVNF not only amplifies stories that matter but helps build relationships and expand support across the veteran community.
- Homeless to Housing (H2H) – One-time grants that help veterans transition out of homelessness by covering move-in costs, security deposits, and essential household expenses.
- Grants to Provide Stability (GPS) – Critical financial assistance for veterans facing urgent needs like rent, utilities, and basic living costs, helping prevent crises before they begin.
- Annual Resource Fairs – An annual event that brings services, supplies, and support together in one place, with volunteer opportunities and vendor partnerships that reflect our expanding reach and impact.
These are not outsourced efforts. DVNF delivers direct, hands-on services, building trust and relationships one veteran at a time.
Veterans gather at our annual resource fair for free services, free merchandise and to learn more about what organizations can do to help them thrive in today's world. By sponsoring this event you align your values with ours, and reach Veterans directly for the most impact on their lives.
Responsible Stewardship
We understand the importance of trust. That’s why DVNF has worked hard to modernize and professionalize every aspect of its operations.
- Administrative Costs:
In Fiscal Year 2023, 8.6% of our total expenses were dedicated to administrative functions, aligning with national nonprofit averages well below the national nonprofit average. - Leadership Pay:
Our CEO’s compensation in 2023 represented just 0.54% of total spending, reflecting our commitment to responsible leadership. - Modern Fundraising Efficiency:
We’ve significantly reduced outdated, high-cost fundraising models. By investing in digital engagement and impact-based storytelling, more resources go where they matter most.
What About Our Ratings?
Charity evaluation sites can’t always keep pace with rapidly evolving organizations. We’ve made major improvements over the past few years:
- Streamlined overhead
- Expanded direct-to-veteran services
- Launched national partnerships
We're committed to full transparency — publishing annual reports, financials, and updates right on our site.
Your Gift. Their Future.
