What We Do

It's a changing world. And in this time of war, the needs of America's disabled veterans are in a constant state of flux. With this in mind, the Disabled Veterans National Foundation stays as flexible as possible in bringing hope to heroes.

There are times when we offer direct assistance to a veteran or a family in immediate need. When that's advisable, we respond as quickly as possible because larger, more complex organizations do not enjoy the flexibility that DVNF brings to the table.

At other times, we can achieve maximum impact by collaborating with like-minded organizations, a trend that's strongly encouraged among modern charities as a means to build efficiencies and avoid duplications of services.

Along these lines, we frequently make grants to achieve focused goals on behalf of specific groups of veterans who can fall through the cracks of traditional services. These include women who served our country, homeless veterans, and those who suffer such invisible wounds as brain injuries and PTSD.
