Veterans Programs

You may qualify for a DVNF Scholarship

A total of up to 50 yearly $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Veterans to help them continue their education outside of the military. Awarded funds will be paid directly to the school with the intent to enable the Veteran to attend an accredited college, university or trade school.

The Goal:

The goal of DVNF's Scholarship Program is to help a veteran with tuition that may not be covered by the Montgomery or Post 9/11 G.I. Bills. Whether you are a veteran who is attending a private school, an out-of-state school, or are in graduate school, the G.I. Bill may not cover all of the necessary tuition expenses.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order for an individual to be eligible for the Scholarship Program, Veterans must:

Have served in active military, or military auxiliaries
Have a discharge with conditions other than dishonourable
Must be attending or planning to attend an accredited US institution at the time the scholarship is awarded (list of accredited schools: http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx).
A citizen of the United States of America.

Organizational Grants

The Disabled Veterans National Foundation provides grants to like-minded organizations who provide support to disabled Veterans.

To apply for an organizational grant, you must submit:

DVNF’s Financial assistance request form.
Cover letter (please limit to 3 pages) that includes:

Brief description of organization, mission, service to Veterans, funding sources, etc
Detailed description of how grant will be used
Description of how grant will better the lives of Veterans, including number of Veterans helped
Breakdown of costs, including anticipated expenses, matching grants, etc.

Any additional supporting documentation, which may include promotional materials or news coverage of your organization or Letters of support from related organization or Veterans (limit 3 pages).

While we strive to process grants as quickly as possible, it may take up to 60 days to process requests once all necessary documentation is received.
