Several weeks ago, it was brought to our attention that someone was trying to solicit donations over the phone who claimed to be a representative of Disabled Veterans National Foundation. At first we thought this may have been a case of mistaken identity, but more instances of this have been coming in lately.
DVNF is not soliciting donations over the phone, so if you receive a call from anyone requesting a donation, please be advised that this is not a representative of DVNF, and is someone attempting to use our name to scam people.
If you receive such a call please let us know immediately and if possible, send us the number of the caller to firstname.lastname@example.org.
One number that we know has been used to call people is (702) 749-0530. This number has been attempting to solicit donations on behalf of DVNF, as well as other charities in the past. See this link for information from other recipients of these calls: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-702-749-0530/.
Thank you for your understanding, and please let us know immediately if you receive such a call!
